Methods of calibrating, and adjusting portable sliding table saw
If you find that the sawn wood has a sloping feeling and there are tooth marks on the cut surface, how to eliminate these problems?
Let's try to calibrate and adjust.
1. First, make sure that the power has been disconnected. The ruler is close to the side of the saw blade at 90 degrees.
Make a mark on the saw blade's edge and turn the blade by hand to check the ruler-to-saw blade clearance.
If the gap between the saw blade and the table is large, it needs to be adjusted.
The position of the table can be changed or a gasket can be added to the fixing screws of the table to solve the problem.
2. Second, use a ruler to measure whether the backing ruler is vertical to the table, choose multi-point measurement, and if the deviation is too large, and replace the backing ruler.
Use a ruler to measure the distance from the backing ruler to both sides of the saw blade. If there is a deviation, adjust the backing ruler.
3. Measure the angle of the crosscut and miter cut as the saw blade travels in the track.
1). Measure whether the beveled push handle (crosscut push handle) is straight. And whether it is parallel with the slideway.
2). Use a square to measure the perpendicularity between the crosscut push handle and the saw blade. If there is any problem, you can adjust the slide bar of the bevel-cut push handle, such as applying some glue or wrapping tape to the side of the slide bar for correction.
It is an easy methods to check, calibrate and adjust your table saw! Go and try it yourself.:)
