1. When choosing a thick edge band for edge sealing, the position of the pressing wheel of the edge banding machine should be adjusted to the best according to the thickness of the edge strip.

Since the edge banding is slightly longer than the workpiece, when the pressing wheel presses the extended part of the edge banding, a force perpendicular to the feeding direction is given to the edge banding. At this time, because the glue is not fully cured, the bonding strength is not high. The tail is easy to loosen，and the paste is not firm.

2. The temperature in the working room of the edge banding machine should not be too low, generally above 12°C.

The thicker the edge banding is, the less flexible it is. It is necessary to ensure the normal operation of the preheating device. If it is no preheating device, the edge banding can be softened by heating with a hair dryer. In addition, there must be no drafts in the processing workshop.

At the same time the quality of the edgebanding itself will also affect the sealing effect: good quality edgebanding seals out the effect of tight seams, while poor quality edgebanding seals out products with large gaps at the edge, with obvious black lines.

The thicker edgebanding is seen in section, the middle of the edgebanding should be slightly more concave than the two sides, and after extrusion by the pressure wheel, it will be more closely combined with the board, without gaps.

3. The moisture content of solid wood should not be too high. 

The panels should be stored in a cool and dry room, with a moisture content of 8-10% being optimal. Keep the surface of the substrate free of dust and clean.

5. the amount of glue applied to the size of control, should be slightly extruded glue at the outer edges of the plate, edge banding combination shall prevail.

If the amount of glue is too large, the residual glue at the edge of the seal is serious, affecting the beauty; too small, the bonding strength is not enough. To test whether the glue is continuous and uniform, common edge sealing tape can be used to seal the edges, while the glue is not cooled off the edge sealing tape quickly torn off, look at the surface of the plate, and the surface of the edge tape glue storage situation.

6. edge banding machine is not installed pre-milling device, the cutting quality of the plate, is very affected by the effect of edge banding.

Usually use push table cutting, cutting the plate will use the scoring saw, finished cutting, the best effect is to cut the surface at the small saw blade traces can be seen, but touch but can not feel. This means that the cutting width of the small saw blade should be 0.1 mm wider than the main saw blade (0.05 mm on each side), and that the main and secondary saw blades are on the same level.

Too wide a slot in the small saw blade results in poor adhesion underneath the sheet and black lines or visible gaps in the sealing. A small saw blade with too small a slot will result in a burst edge and affect the sealing effect.
